Microsoft released this Wednesday (10) a new update with news for the Xbox. This month’s update is rolling out this week and brings the ability to see your Discord friends’ Xbox gamertags, new sorting and filtering options in the Microsoft Store on Xbox.com, an Xbox Wireless Controller firmware update, and more.
Starting today, you’ll be able to see your Discord friends’ Xbox gamertags while signed in to Discord Voice on your Xbox. This makes it easy to add each other as Xbox friends and send Xbox game invites. When your Discord account is linked to Xbox, you can join voice channels from your Discord servers from your console.
Plus, it’s easier than ever to find your next favorite Xbox games and entertainment from the Microsoft Store on Xbox. There are now new sorting and filtering options on the pages you can browse on Xbox.com and your Xbox console that pull in price, subscriptions, supported languages, and accessibility features to find the perfect games for you.
The new firmware update includes bug fixes for unexpectedly slow battery drain on controllers with internal batteries like the Xbox Elite Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive controllers or the Xbox rechargeable battery. How long a rechargeable battery lasts depends on how often you recharge it.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Console members can earn Microsoft Rewards points by playing games from the Xbox Game Pass library. Starting today, we’re experimenting with different experiments to make quests easier to find. Xbox Game Pass missions in your profile are moving from the Games tab to the new Rewards tab.
You can also quickly access them by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide, choosing Profile & System, selecting your profile, and then choosing My Rewards.
