Several sources indicate that Apple may launch new MacBooks Pro and Mac Mini with M2 chip in March this year. Now a filing with Radio Equipment Canada’s regulatory body appears to have listed one of the new models. According to MacRumors, this is a brand new MacBook that supports WiFi 6E.
The unreleased MacBook Pro is still listed on Canada Radio Equipment’s website and is identified by the model A2779 which can be found by searching for the code “579C-A2779” in the “Certification Number” field on the regulatory body’s portal.

Also, it’s important to mention that the device is actually listed as “MacBook Pro” in its description, which lends even more credence to the report that this is an unreleased model that could be released by Apple in the coming months.
The sheet also says that the new model supports the 6GHz band of WiFi 6E, as current models only work with the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies of standard WiFi 6. With this, the next generation of MacBooks will support higher speeds and reduced latency in internet connections.
Unfortunately the certification does not reveal any images or other additional specifications, but more details are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
