Windows 10 and 11 get new feature that shows which program is using a file

This Thursday (10th), the Microsoft released another update with new builds 22621891 and 22623891 (KB5020040) for the Windows 11🇧🇷 This time, the famous Task Manager received changes and improvements.

In the new Windows 11 Preview for Insiders Beta channel, Microsoft released a search bar for Task Manager which allows you to filter processes running on the operating system.

According to the developer, this is one of the top feature requests from OS users. The filter algorithm matches the context keyword with all possible matches and displays them on the current page.

The filter is also applied as the user switches between pages. You can also use the keyboard shortcut ALT+F to open the filter box. This is a very useful feature for anyone who needs to highlight a process or a group of processes.

Another improvement that Task Manager Windows 11 received was theme support. Regardless of the active option on the system, the user will be able to adjust it on the configuration page in the Task Manager itself.

Finally, Task Manager now also supports themes for in-app dialogs. All dialogs except “Run New Task” and “Properties” now support themes and will follow the app or Windows specific theme.

As is traditional, the new version also fixed some existing problems:
