Samsung releases One UI Core 5.1 for Galaxy A22 5G with April security patch

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has already received One UI Core 5.0 based on Android 13 and now another update has been released for this smartphone: One UI Core 5.1. The new version was released today by South Korea with the April 2023 security patch, correcting dozens of security holes.

According to GalaxyClub, the update is identified by firmware A226BXXU5DWC1 for Galaxy A22 5G model SM-A226B. The new version was first released in the Nordic countries and its availability is expected to expand to more regions in the coming weeks.

New to One UI Core 5.1 are new weather widgets, connected device battery, app suggestions, and multitasking improvements.

The April security patch fixes 66 vulnerabilities found on this device, of which 55 were fixes implemented by Google for the Android system.
