Acer announces Predator Orion X gaming desktop and new monitors with VA and OLED screens up to 175 Hz

Acer announced this Thursday (20) the Predator Orion X, its new gaming desktop with high-performance hardware to compete with Dell’s Alienware Aurora R15. The model is accompanied by two equally powerful monitors to deliver the best gaming experience. Check out the release details below.

Acer Predator Orion X

The Predator Orion X features a futuristic-looking case and modular construction that makes it easy for enthusiasts who prefer to customize their hardware. There are different “zones” that provide access to internal components. Zone 1, for example, gives access to the processor, power supply and SSD, while Zone 2 houses the SATA slots for the HDD.

Weighing just 9 kg, the model has metal construction designed with strategic air vents to ensure efficient ventilation of internal components. There is an RGB lights interface that can be customized through PredatorSense 4.0 software.

The PC is equipped with the Core i9-13900KS, Intel’s fastest processor clocking at 6.0 GHz. The hardware has 24 cores, 32 threads and 150 W TDP. has a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card from NVIDIA with 24GB of GDDR6X memory to ensure the best gaming performance on the market.

You can configure the Predator Orion X with up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, two SSD drives of up to 1 TB each, and one NVMe M.2 SSD drive.

In the connectivity department, the computer sports Intel Killer E3100G and Intel Killer AX211 for Wi-Fi 6E support, as well as ports that include a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, a USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 , three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 2.0, one Ethernet (RJ45) and a headphone and microphone jack on the back.

price and availability

The Predator Orion X will be launched in September in the United States with a suggested price of US$ 2,999 (about R$ 15,120). For now, there is no forecast of launch in Europe.

Acer Nitro XZ452CU V

The Nitro XZ452CU V is Acer’s new ultrawide curved monitor. The model is equipped with a 44.5-inch screen with VA technology, Dual Quad HD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels) and 165 Hz refresh rate. To take full advantage of the display’s high frequency, the device supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Another highlight of the gamer monitor is its VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and support for 90% of the DCI-P3 color space, ensuring good contrast and color fidelity. The model has technologies that reduce eye stress, such as BlueLightShield Pro, which reduces the emission of blue light on the panel.

There is a USB-C port that serves for PC connection, data transfer and device charging. In addition, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a hub of USB-A ports for multimedia reading.

The Acer Nitro XZ452CU V will be available in the United States from the last quarter of 2023. The suggested price will be US$ 999 (about R$ 5,039).

Acer Predator X34V

Designed for those looking for the best display technology in a monitor, the Predator X34 V sports a 34-inch OLED screen with 1800R curvatureUWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels), 21:9 aspect ratio and variable refresh rate up to 175 Hz.

The model is VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certified and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. Extremely responsive, the monitor has a GtG response time of just 0.1 milliseconds. The image is synchronized with the graphics card output via AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology.

The Acer Predator X34 V will be available in the United States from the last quarter of 2023. The suggested price will be US$ 1,299 (about R$ 6,549).
