As many people know, Final Cut Pro is a professional video editor developed by Apple itself and exclusively compatible with computers running the brand’s system, macOS.
Currently, the editor’s license costs something close to R$ 1,700, a prohibitive amount for the vast majority of people who are just looking for a program for more complex editing or who are interested in testing Maçã’s proposal in order to incorporate it into the your workflow in the near future.
But you don’t have to spend all that money just for that sporadic use! Unlike what happens on other platforms, Apple makes the editor available for free for testing for 90 days. This, in its full version, without leaving any feature out.

- Using a browser on your Mac, go to this link;
- Click in “To go down” and wait for the download to complete.
- Now, double click on the downloaded file to mount the installation disk.
- Double-click on the installation package and follow the installer’s instructions. Wait until the installation completes.
- Look for Final Cut in the applications folder or Launchpad and open it;
- As it is a trial version, the software will inform you that the current license will expire and will give you the option to purchase it. Click in “OK” to continue using the trial version normally.
- If you are interested in purchasing, click on “Buy”.
- Make your edits!

In short, Family Sharing is a feature that allows iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices belonging to members of the same family to share purchases made in the App/iTunes/iBooks Store, in addition to subscriptions to services such as Apple TV, Music, iCloud etc.
With Family Sharing, up to six Apple IDs can be associated with a single family. Thus, all six can share content purchased by their members; and that includes licensing programs like Final Cut Pro.
With that, if you and your partner work with video editing and are in the same Family Sharing group, for example, a single program license can be divided between the two; each with its own installation on its own Mac.
