Apple TV and Apple Music available in the Microsoft Store in beta version

A few days ago this week, 9to5Mac reported a few issues related to the arrival of Apple Music and Apple TV that would soon be available in the Windows 11 Microsoft Store. This means that if you are a Windows PC user, You will be able to download these well-known Apple applications, although for now they are only in beta versions from your Microsoft Store.

Microsoft, for its part, had already planned to finally make some well-known Apple applications a reality for its own platforms. The Cupertino company is getting down to business with respect to Apple Music and Apple TV on Windows. Apple also took the launch as an opportunity to make apps with better technologies, making them run much faster and in a way that they don’t take up as many resources compared to iTunes.

Apple Music and Apple TV from your Windows

If you want to download both apps, you’ll notice that Apple Music and Apple TV don’t differ too much from their original versions on macOS. Nevertheless, Interface details do look slightly redesigned to fit the aesthetics and functionality of Windows.

Regarding Apple TV, when you access it you will be able to see all the content that Apple TV+ originally presents, Apple TV Channels, as well as the films and TV shows that were part of the iTunes Store. Everything you had in iTunes will also be in the new app automatically. It should be noted that iTunes will no longer work once you download Apple Music.

Apple also took the opportunity to give an almost definitive replacement to iTunes by implementing a new application for Windows under the name of Apple Devices. In addition, this new application was used to obtain a little more information about the VR headset. Apple Devices is designed to be able to manage practically all your Apple devices from a Windows PC. However, we must also keep in mind that Apple itself announced that it has new future plans for iTunes on Windows. This is clear, since it will still have compatibility with audiobooks, podcasts, since there is no type of support for these functions by Apple Music so far.

So far there are already three Apple applications fully available for Windows. Now you can download them from Microsoft, although it should be noted that for the moment the apps are still in beta. This is to take into account in case a feature you want is unavailable or on hold. For this, you will be able to notice that they have a “Preview” label, and it is also limited to certain regions due to the same beta phase.
