Google Assistant is now six years old, created to make it easy to control the smart devices we have at home, from lights to thermostats to security cameras.

More than 700 million people use voice control to set reminders or control their mobile without their hands, in 95 countries and 29 languages, and now they have presented several improvements so that it is possible to interact more naturally both in the Pixel 7 as in the Google Pixel Watch.

I leave it in the form of a summary list, so that it is easy to read and understand:

– Voice typing is now faster, plus it now suggests relevant emojis for messages. In fact we can include emojis just by naming or describing it.
– Direct My Call is a feature that will display the call menu options immediately.
– They improve the transcription of voice messages, transforming them into text. This allows users to read audio messages in the Google Messages app.
– We can say “Mute” to dismiss incoming calls when we can’t answer them, without having to say “Ok Google” first.
– The Pixel 7 Recorder app will include Speaker tags to differentiate and transcribe the words of each speaker separately.
– From the clock we can send messages, set a timer, control connected home devices and start a race.
– We can also find the phone directly from the watch.

These are just some of the new features presented yesterday by Google, a very productive session that we fully cover here at WWwhatsnew.
