Samsung sold 400,000 high-resistance smartphones after partnership with Airbus and Capgemini

Samsung has set a market record after its successful French subsidiary partnership with Airbus and Capgemini. The co-sponsored consortium resulted in the sale of 400,000 high-resistance Galaxy devices, which were intended for use by employees of multinational companies.

The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro smartphone, released this year, and the 2020 Galaxy Tab Active 3 tablet were distributed. Airbus chose the Tab Active 3 over the latest Tab Active 4 Pro to save costs but still focus in high resistance. The Xcover 6 Pro has a 6.6-inch PLS-LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. He is known for be more robust and have thicker edges. In addition, it features the Snapdragon 778G chipset and works together with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In the case of the Galaxy Tab Active 3, the great advantages are the IP68 certification that guarantees water and dust impermeability and MIL-STD-810H certification, which guarantees that the tablet survives a drop of up to 1.5 meters from a height using the protective cover. It comes with an Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expansion up to 1TB via MicroSD card. In addition, the screen is an 8-inch LCD with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio, compatible with the S Pen. The battery is 5050mAh and is removable, charging via USB-C with a power of 15W.

Samsung has achieved quite a feat by selling this amount of rugged smartphones at once, as several smaller manufacturers try to sell this with all their devices in a year, for example. This can act as an incentive for the company to increasingly invest in high-resistance mobile devices.

The director of the Business-to-Business Mobile Experience division at Samsung France informed that the partnership with Airbus was based on the trust they placed in big tech due to the innovation, quality and resistance of the products. Both have dust and water resistance certifications and removable batteries, which ensure that the user can change the load without having to rely on a power source.
