Pixelmator Photo was released for iPhone in late 2021 and now it is being updated with a new name on all platforms. From now on it will be called Photomator and with the new name we have great possibilities including an advanced selection tool for objects and people with artificial intelligence.

The new version 2.3 is now available for iOS, iPadOS and will be released soon on macOS. Among the novelties we have the option to make manual selections with predefined shapes, brushes and even gradients to obtain smooth effects of transitions between layers.

In addition, it is now also possible to use automatic selection to isolate elements of a photo such as people, objects, sky, backgrounds and much more in a few seconds with the help of artificial intelligence.

This means that now Photomator will allow photos to be edited on a new level, as all edits are stored in a layer of their own, so just consult the history to undo each one of them and compare the final result with the original.

Color adjustments work independently as filters that can be turned off at any time.

Finally, the team responsible for developing the application revealed that a version with even more features for Mac is already in development and will be released in May, which means that we will have great news to report soon.
