Within the motorcycle sector, Kawasaki is one of the manufacturers that has revealed the most information about its future plans.

One of them was recently revealed in the intermot 2022, an event held in the German city of Cologne.

It’s about the Kawasaki Ninja Electricthe company’s first electric motorcycle to it sets the tone for the course that the company will take in the coming years.

It is worth mentioning that the presentation of this vehicle was made as a prototype, which caused it to be given the name of Kawasaki EV Prototype.

This is one of two motorcycles with which Kawasaki participated in the last edition of the Suzuka Japanese Circuit Endurance Racewith the purpose of demonstrating the performance and capabilities of this vehicle.

On the other hand, although Kawasaki has not offered details about the specifications of the electrical system of the Kawasaki EV, taking into account the demonstration carried out by this electric motorcycle on the circuit and its dimensions, it is likely that it will end up being equipped with a low power, around 125.

This would put the Kawasaki EV below the Kawasaki Ninja in terms of performance. Regarding its appearance, the Kawasaki EV presents a silhouette reflecting the essence of Kawasaki’s most iconic designs.

Also, this electric motorcycle presents elements in green color that help to highlight the structure, even becoming part of the LED lights, while body panels are presented in a matte gray shade.

Added to this, Kawasaki has listed this model as a EV Production Prototype because this is a prototype that will serve as a means for research in order to give way to a model destined for mass production.

So this electric motorcycle would be the starting point for the development of a final electric motorcycle by Kawasaki.

Within the process of presenting this electric motorcycle prototype, Kawasaki pointed out that for the moment is not interested in continuing to experiment and do trials with new propulsion technologies framed in the concept of zero emissions. In this regard, the general director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, Masaya Tsuruno, indicated “We are very motivated and strongly connected and will continue our research and development”.
