Instagram is testing a series of functions in the app, which will allow you to add music in several of its sections.

The idea is that you can give your posts a plus with songs that your audience might like, or that reflect the status you want as they scroll through your photos.

You can add music to the photo carousels

Instagram already has an option that allows you to add music to a post. That is, you can post a photo with your favorite song. In this way, you can give a melancholic, happy or funny touch to your photo, beyond the filters, and attract the attention of your followers.

However, this ability to add music to Instagram posts would make more sense if it could be done in photo carousels. This would allow users to scroll through photos while listening to the song you selected for the post.

Although this option is not yet available, Instagram is already testing this dynamic, as announced by Mark Zuckerberg on his Instagram channel. So you can create a themed photo carousel and add a song accordingly to give your audience a plus.

The Instagram team did not mention when this new feature will begin to be officially implemented in the publications, so we will have to wait for future updates.

More news coming to Instagram

In addition to the ability to add music to a photo carousel, Instagram will also allow us to choose a song for Notes. Let’s remember that Instagram Notes follow the modality of WhatsApp states, which allows us to write a text that appears under our profile picture in the direct messages section.

So this new option will allow you to be a little more creative when sharing your notes with your more private groups. For example, you could choose a song that matches your mood, along with a funny or sarcastic text, accompanied by an emoticon, as can be seen in the video Zuckerberg shares.

Of course, it will not be a complete song, but you can choose the part of the audio that interests you. On the other hand, your contacts will not only be able to listen to the song, but they will also see the name of the song and the artist.

All these functions are already being tested in some countries, but the idea is to bring it to all users over time.
