The finish of the Fairbuds XL indicates that it must really be made with recycled material, a common practice in other products from the company, such as the Fairphone 4.

The structure of the headphones shows that it should have a button and a kind of rotating crown similar to that found on Apple’s AirPods Max.

We also note the presence of a USB-C input, a microphone hole, but no 3.5mm input, which may disappoint some audiophiles. On the other hand, the Fairbuds XL is expected to be one of the easiest to repair headphones on the market, as this is a philosophy that the brand has followed to the letter.

Fairbuds XL: Fairphone headset may have ANC and be made with recycled items

A Fairphone seems to be interested in expanding its portfolio with a over ear headset model. It’s about the Fairbuds XL, which should launch with an easy fix as its main highlight. Recently, the sustainable cell phone brand product received Bluetooth SIG certification.

It is worth remembering that the company has already launched a similar product: the Fairphone TWS. At the time, the main attraction of this item was an integrated automatic charging speed adjustment system, which aimed to extend the useful life of the device’s battery.

Among the details revealed with the recent certification are the name of the device and the number (HEAD-1ZW). Furthermore, the documentation specifies that the product is indeed a headset, and you can get a glimpse of what the item’s design will look like by Googling “Fairbuds XL” and coming across a video posted on the Vimeo service.

Even so, it is not possible to see the content because the video is private. However, it is possible to notice a variant in green color and a look in line with what is usually found in this category of headphones. Another interesting detail is that the device is also appearing on retailer websites.

This gives you an idea of the price this model will cost when it becomes available: 235.35 Swiss francs (BRL 1,305). Technical specifications, in turn, were not revealed, but it is possible that the headset arrives with active noise cancellation and made with recycled materials.

Still on the Fairphone: check out the update that arrived for the 3 and 3 Plus models and the details about the last security patch received by the Fairphone 2.
