ASUS announces AM5 AMD X670E motherboards compatible with Zen 4 CPUs

As the launch of the AMD Ryzen 7000 line, with Zen 4 architecture, approaches — with an event scheduled for August 29 —, motherboard manufacturers are starting to announce their most advanced parts to receive the latest components. This Friday (19), it was the turn of Asus to burn the start announcing its AM5 line, with models of different prices.

Among them are the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero Extreme, aimed at gamers with more money to invest in hardware, as well as the more affordable ROG Crosshair X670E Hero and ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Wi-Fi, which promise the same features necessary to withstand the news without spending a fortune.


All AMD X670E based motherboards from Asus will support AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors with up to 16 Zen 4 cores. maximize overclocking potential.

The components will have four slots for DDR5 memory, multiple PCIe 5.0 slots, USB ports (including two USB 4 ports in some modes), and Wi-Fi 6E support on high-end ROG motherboards. In addition, some AM5 motherboards also offer M.2-22110 slots for high-capacity SSDs via an adapter, 2.5GbE or even 10GbE connectivity.

Asus ROG motherboards also follow the company’s Q-Design features, including quick-release buttons for PCIe, RAM and M.2 slots to make it easier and faster for enthusiasts to uninstall and install new components.

Still without official figures revealed, it is expected that the plates cost from US$670 (~R$3,460) to US$1,260 (~R$6,500) on more advanced models.
