Apple Pay now supports C6 Bank cards for contactless payments

C6 Bank announced this Monday, 14, the support of its credit cards in Apple Pay, a digital wallet that can be used by Apple users for payment by approximation (NFC). With this novelty, it is possible to use the Contactless function on iPhones and Watches compatible with the feature, simply by having the card linked to the application.

Although the fintech has not yet announced the arrival of the feature, users report on Twitter that they were able to add their C6 Bank cards to Apple Pay. When updating the app on the App Store, you can find a shortcut button on the homepage that directs you to the Cupertino giant’s payment service.

“It’s already in the wallet and working like a charm, finally @C6Bank”, celebrated one of the fintech clients on his Twitter profile, while another said “Chegooooou!!! [clientes do banco] Apple Pay!’. Some people were surprised by an iOS notification confirming card compatibility.

At the beginning of the month, Santander also announced support for its credit cards in Apple Pay, including a special offer that offers double points for bank customers who use this payment method.

Other institutions have also supported the Maçã portfolio for a long time, such as Nubank and Inter, by andexample. iPhones that support Pay are those that support Face ID and Touch ID, with the exception of the iPhone 5s.
