There is good news for Elon Musk: SpaceX has successfully launched no less than 51 Starlink satellites to complete the coverage of this service worldwide. Therefore, the billionaire’s company continues with its unstoppable advances to provide Internet access from anywhere in the world in a comfortable and quite fast way. The launch was made from the Vandenberg Space Base at 1:09 PM PT (20:09 UTC). Everything has gone perfectly on the Falcon 9 used to put the so-called Starlink 2-9 group into orbit. Something quite curious is that there was fog in the chosen place, which has not prevented the objective from being achieved effectively and without additional difficulties. A constellation of Starlink satellites that is immense According to the data currently available, SpaceX has launched 4,391 Starlink satellites to date, of which 3,478 will be operational if new ones pass the technical and orbital positioning verifications in the coming weeks as planned . In this way, growth is maintained, but not exponentially as in previous years. But, yes, it is expected that in 2023 new models will be put into orbit to improve the work offered to access the Internet. The point is that this is a relatively fast mission for Starlink compared to others carried out in previous years. The deployment of the new satellites is expected to take place in just over an hour after launch. And this process, due to the experience acquired, in principle should not cause any problem. Incredible launch cadence from SpaceX With the launch we’re talking about, you get fast response times, great fast response times. These are essential for SpaceX to maintain its rapid launch rate, and the goal of reaching 100 launches in just one year is getting closer. The Falcon 9 that launched this batch of Starlink satellites is B1075. This is its third flight and just two and a half minutes after launch, it broke away to begin its journey back to Earth to land on the ship just eight minutes after liftoff. Next up on SpaceX’s schedule when it comes to satellite shipments will be the launch of the Group 5-9 Starlink satellites, this time from SLC-40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. >
