Manufacturer of cell phones designed with a focus on sustainability, Fairphone presented this Thursday (11) the Fairbuds XL, its new over-ear headphones produced with ecologically correct materials. The wireless model has a modular design with easily removable parts that promises to simplify your repair, if necessary.
Fairbuds XL is equipped with 40mm dynamic speakers capable of delivering good sound power and active noise cancellation (ANC). With Bluetooth 5.1 technology, the headset can connect to up to two devices simultaneously with a range of up to 10 meters, in addition to supporting AAC, SBC and APTX HD codecs.

With recycled plastic and aluminum, vegan leather on the cushions, and polyester and nylon parts, the Fairbuds XL reduces the amount of e-waste and the company’s carbon footprint. It is worth remembering that Fairphone also introduced the FairBuds, its totally wireless headphones (TWS) with similar materials in 2021.
The accessory has an 800 mAh battery that delivers autonomy of up to 30 hours of playback. The battery, as well as other parts of the headset — including the speaker, headband, cushion and cover — are easily replaceable, which should reduce premature disposal of the device and therefore emission of electronic waste. .

The model can be recharged via its USB-C port. Another highlight is its support for Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri voice assistants. It is possible to customize the audio settings through the Fairbuds app, available for Android and iOS.
Available in black or green, the Fairbuds XL is available on the brand’s official website in selected European countries with MSRP of €249 (about R$1,350).
