A Microsoft updated this Wednesday (3) the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead channels for members of the Xbox Insiders program. The updates seek to fix a different set of issues and bugs in the company’s console operating system.

According to Microsoft, the new Xbox Insider Alpha Ring update has the build number 2306.230501-2200. In turn, the Alpha Skip-Ahead channel received the new version 2308.230430-2200 for members to test the update.

Testing the first updates for Xbox consoles is not for the faint of heart. Builds are often very unstable and often come with a heavy list of known issues, which greatly affects the experience of using the software.

Remember that the Alpha Skip Ahead channel is very exclusive; users are added by invitation only. Typically, changes that make it to this cycle are publicly released to everyone after a few months.
