POCO M5 4G has Helio G99, release forecast and other details revealed

The successor to the POCO M4 “is in the oven” and should be officially launched in India in September. The news was revealed on Tuesday by people who have access to the brand’s plans in the country.

According to these sources, the new POCO M5 should hit the market with a 4G connection only, and a 5G variant should only be released at the end of the year.

The expected price for this smartphone is only 15,000 rupees, something around R$969 in direct conversion and without considering Europeian taxes.

In addition, this smartphone must use as a processor the MediaTek Helio G99 chipsetwhich was developed with the gamer audience in mind, and also has a great focus on good value for money.

As for the other specifications of the new POCO M5 4G, we should also expect a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. The device should still have a flashy design with leather details and a fingerprint reader on the side.

In the camera set, sources claim that there are chances that the main sensor is 50 MP, while the basic RAM is 6 GB. The smartphone should still have dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a P2 port for headphones.

Last, and not least, there is 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The operating system will be Android 12, and it should run under MIUI for POCO.

However, so far, the manufacturer has not yet confirmed the veracity of the leak.
