OnePlus Ace puts the turbo: Racing (or Speed) Edition debuts on May 17th
OnePlus Ace has been official for a few weeks, but will soon be joined by a variant known as the Racing Edition and which could be placed on the market as Ace Speed Edition. Different name, yes, because in practice everything depends on the translation from the Chinese language, but which always recalls the same peculiarity: speed. The debut is expected for the next one Tuesday 17th May.
The same company reveals this on Weibo, posting images showing one decidedly different smartphone than the original model. The reference market is China, but we cannot exclude a priori that it cannot also arrive in the West, perhaps with another denomination – and it would certainly not be the first time.
Of Ace Speed (or Racing) Edition we now know the aesthetic features, already seen in reality on the documentation published by the Chinese certification body TENAA a few days ago. Let’s say that now we have the certainty: therefore they will be there two colors, one gray (Competitive Gray) and the other blue (Lightspeed Blue), while the body will be slightly rounded on the sides in the back. The camera module is well integrated, with less square edges than the OnePlus Ace.
