Nothing Phone (1): details on the display and a concrete hypothesis on the design, similar to the S22
There is still no precise information on the launch of Nothing Phone (1), the first “real” challenge faced by the men led by the co-founder and former CEO of OnePlus. But the rumors multiply, also supported by the public outings of Carl Pei and his collaborators- we will be the Apple of Androidthe latest promise – with the aim of maintaining the focus on the project in view of the presentation to the public.
For the most recent rumors, the wait is almost over, and the increasing pace with which the rumors arrive indirectly confirms the hypothesis. The last concerns the display. According to TechDroiderNothing Phone (1) will have one – of course OLED – from 6.55 in with Full HD + resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, although this latter prediction is not new but has been around for weeks.
FLAT DISPLAY WITH UNIFORM FRAMES
The rumor goes beyond the strictly technical characteristics, and tells us that Nothing Phone (1) screen should also be dish so without the curvature on the long sides which is so pretty to look at but annoys someone for inadvertent touches, and the black bezels around it should be thin and all of the same thickness. In fact, manufacturers often place the connectors near the lower area of the screen, and this causes the frame near the speakers, microphones and USB input to be thicker than the others.
It will not be the case with Nothing Phone (1) according to the rumor, which is not hard to believe by virtue of the attention to detail that Pei has shown he cares particularly during his OnePlus adventure. After all, one does not become “the Apple of the Android landscape” without taking care of every aspect, technical and aesthetic.
Attached to the tweet is a render which anticipates what could be the appearance of the first Nothing smartphone: the base used for the reconstruction seems to be a Galaxy S22 / S22 + to which the background has been changed, but the description of a product with flat display and narrow bezels and all the same coincides with the design of the latest Samsung “tops”. So it is a good rough indication from which to imagine the aesthetic impact of Nothing Phone (1) when it arrives on the market.
