Microsoft Edge has a new dynamic to sync notes and files

Microsoft is developing a new tool for Edge that will work like Telegram’s “Saved Messages” feature.

You can leave notes or save any type of file to have them available on any device through Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft Edge will make it easy for you to sync files and notes between devices

The Microsoft team is working on a dynamic way to share notes and files between devices from your web browser.

As mentioned in Neowin, in the Canary version of Microsoft Edge you can see a new feature that makes it easier to store and share files between devices. The new option called “Drop” opens in a side panel, just like Math Solver or Citation Details.

When we want to store a file to synchronize them with other devices, we just have to open this space and “drag and drop”. Or if you just want to write a note, you can also take advantage of this tool.

Everything we store in this space will be synchronized so that they are available on other devices through Microsoft Edge. One detail to keep in mind is that anything you save in this feature will reduce your OneDrive storage space.

But still, it can be a simple solution to have your notes and some essential files always available from Microsoft web browser. This will save us from having to constantly sign in to OneDrive.

Of course, this function will be optional. So users will have to activate it from the browser settings. A simple dynamic that will only consist of a few steps, as is the case with the rest of the functions that appear in the Edge bar.

At the moment, this feature is only available in the Canary version of Microsoft Edge. Perhaps after weeks of testing and user feedback, Microsoft will decide to give it a try in the stable version of Edge.
