Galaxy Z Fold 4 out will change enough, record autonomy for Watch 5 Pro | Rumor
There are about two weeks that separate us from the event Galaxy Unpacked on August 10, the one during which Samsung will present the new leaflets Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4the new smartwatches Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro and probably earphones too Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. In the past months the rumors have drawn a rather precise identikit, now we are ai details.
Details that emerge from the latest tweets of Ice Universe, a rather reliable source when Samsung is involved. The informant has published a comparison image between the external display of the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 and that of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. There are some obvious differences and others that are more subtle. One in particular is macroscopic: the designers seem to have turned a lot of their attention to reduce the size of the zipper much less pronounced on the left of the screen, thus maximizing available spaces and volumes.
It takes a bit more careful look instead to notice the reduction of bezels around the external display: the upper one in particular seems to have been reduced considerably, which is not bad. The display should go from the current aspect ratio of 24.5: 9 to 23: 9, a less “stretched” form factor that will make it a little easier to reach the upper area of the screen with the thumb.
AT LEAST THREE DAYS OF AUTONOMY FOR GALAXY WATCH 5 PRO
Ice Universe it also ruled against Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, touching on an important topic for pocket technology and perhaps even more so for wearable technology. The battery of the next smartwatch should guarantee a much higher autonomy compared to the current generation: the informant has provided a very interesting data, namely that the Pro variant will be able to remain away from the charging base for three days at least.
It is surprising information – we are talking about autonomy about double compared to what can be achieved with current Galaxy Watches – but up to a point. The rumors have anticipated on several occasions that the energy one will be a central area of the Galaxy Watch 5 chapter of the August 10 event: already in March there was talk of a battery from about 35 mAh more and more recently it has emerged as the charging power should go to 10 watts from the current 5.
Of course, 30 or even 40 mAh cannot justify double autonomy on their own. So, assuming that the rumor intuition is correct, it is likely that Samsung worked on software optimization to achieve a similar result: one more reason to follow the event on 10 August.
