Galaxy Tab S8 updates: welcome Android 12L!
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 updates, and this is not just any update because it finally debuts the expected Android 12L with interface One UI 4.1.1. The rollout is underway in South Korea and, more importantly for us, also in Europe. Therefore, it is better to check that there is no notification certifying its availability: alternatively it is always possible – and recommended – to go to the menu Settings and manually check for the presence (or not) of the software update.
There are three versions, one for each tablet model:
- Galaxy Tab S8: X70xBXXU2AVH2
- Galaxy Tab S8 +: X80xBXXU2AVH5
- Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: X90xBXXU2AVH2
The update is available for both WiFi-only versions and those with cellular connectivity. Among the innovations introduced there are also the security patches for the month of August.

The most anticipated feature that comes with Android 12L is the lower taskbar that we had the opportunity to appreciate on Galaxy Z Fold 4. All obviously in the name of multitasking, since this novelty allows you to move more quickly between the different windows, as well as move them, activate the split-screen and pop-up mode.
One UI 4.1.1 also allows you to extract tests from any image, share it with apps and translate the text into different languages, including Italian. Other innovations concern the two-finger gestures to switch from full-screen to split-screen display, the Samsung keyboard and Samsung Internet.
