The 15 Best NEOWISE Comet Photos We Could Find
A few weeks ago, I read some news about the rare NEOWISE Comet passing by Earth and being large and clear enough to see with your naked eye. I got up, went outside, and looked up to a bunch of cloud cover. Luckily for me and all of you, we can always hit up Instagram and Facebook for great photos other photographers captured.
I have learned that taking photographs of stars is much harder than it seems. The people who get amazing shots of the Milky Way behind beautiful foregrounds have put a lot of work into perfecting their craft. Getting a good look at a celestial event sometimes requires you to be in the right place at the right time. NEOWISE blessed us all with an almost equal opportunity.
Even though I spoke about the cloud cover above, my son and I were able to capture a few shots I was happy with on another night. This event was not only for one evening, and I think seeing other people post pictures of the comet made the whole photography community want to get out and try. Before long, people all over the world started sharing photos of the comet so I started making a list of the real jaw-droppers. These are in no particular order.
