ROG Phone 6 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, ASUS confirms: it’s coming
Here we are: ROG Phone 6 is about to emerge from the fog of indiscretions and become a concrete product. The confirmation comes directly from ASUS, which has released a very short teaser with few, essential information. Basically, ROG Phone 6 is on the launch pad and will be equipped with Qualcomm’s brand new flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which was presented just today together with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
As you can see from the image below, the official information is really all here: no exact date, just a generic “coming soon“And there is not even any clue about the design of the device, except for the RGB aesthetics that characterize the geometries of the teaser: all elements that characterized the predecessors (including the latest ROG Phone 5, 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro), and therefore we expect to find with the necessary changes also on ROG Phone 6.
ROG PHONE 6 AND 6 PRO: HOW WILL THEY BE?
An idea of how ROG Phone 6 will be, but also the older brother ROG Phone 6 Pro, we can do it however by recovering the sketches that emerged in January that may have revealed the look. We do not know if the final appearance will really be the one portrayed in the image that we report below, and yet it is certainly a plausible hypothesis.
Overall, in fact, Asus would have retained the grammar of the design of the previous models, but changing the shapes and proportions of the various elements, from the camera to the rear display, which should have a more regular appearance (no more oblique, therefore) and more generous dimensions: probably a way to increase the functionality of a previously mainly aesthetic feature.
As for the technical specifications, however, there are still no rumors in circulation. But that may not be needed, as ASUS is expected to officially unveil smartphones soon.
