Google News available again in Spain, so you can use it

One of the biggest and best news aggregators out there is the one offered by Google. This is a service that could not be enjoyed in Spain for a long time, a situation that has changed as the Mountain View company itself has announced. For those who do not remember what happened eight years ago (2014), an Intellectual Property Law was approved in Spain that was not exactly the most effective possible. So much so, that the goal of increasing revenue, increasing the pressure on companies like Google to add links to news published on the web, was not met. What’s more, some companies like the North American one announced that, if this went ahead, they would stop offering the news service in our country. And this they did immediately. Therefore, both the government of the day and the SGAE (now called AEDE), were left with a span of noses and those who suffered the consequences were the usual ones. On the one hand, companies seeking to have an online presence through news (end of Google’s showcase) and, also, users who lost a service that was easy to use and that was one of the best that existed at that time – due to its large number of functions and excellent performance. Things change, Google News Spain again As the company that created Gmail or Android has communicated, its return to Spain is effective from today (with the corresponding improvement in the design that existed eight years ago). It can be accessed using this link, and there will soon be corresponding applications for the iOS and Android operating systems. In other words, what a complete package so that nothing is missing. The way of working is what has not changed a lot: news is recommended by highlighting some links and, if you are interested in a topic, you can access a specific place where you can see more related options and that belong to websites that are especially relevant for its quality or traffic (or, simply, for being differential or the first to talk about something that becomes a trend). In addition, Google uses its technology to detect what is likely to be interesting to each person. Some things to keep in mind It is important that when you start using the service you check that you have the region you are in selected, since it is most likely not the case (this can also happen with the language). A curious fact is that the return of Google News to Spain coincides with the celebration of the service’s twentieth anniversary, which is still striking. The fact is that the return of this aggregator is excellent news for practically everyone, especially for users.
