Mi Band 7, Xiaomi’s new quantifying bracelet, will be available starting tomorrow June 22 in Spain with a promotion early bird which will lower its official price to make it even more attractive.
After the success of its launch in China, selling more than a million units in less than a month, Xiaomi is distributing its new smart bracelet in the international market. Although its official price (59 euros) has risen compared to previous versions, we believe that it adjusts to the improvements it offers and is still within reach of any consumer. Rest assured that it will continue to be the best-selling activity bracelet on the market and one of the best in wearables in terms of features/price.
Xiaomi Mi Band 7, features
The first novelty of the version comes from an appreciable increase in screen size, 25% larger than the previous generation up to 1.62 inches. Keeping the AMOLED panel, the resolution and brightness have also been increased to 192 x 490 pixels and up to 500 nits brightness. Another important improvement comes from its battery, a 44% increase in capacity.
Despite the increase in size and battery, the new version is slightly thinner than the Mi Band 6, but somewhat heavier. In any case, its weight remains minimal: 13.5 grams. In terms of sensors, a PPG stands out that includes those intended for heart rate and SpO2 (blood oxygen level). It also has a gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer.
In the section of statics and customization, say that the Chinese brand has increased the options of official straps, including two new camouflage options with two fluorescent colors: green and orange. In addition to these, the straps can be purchased in six different colors. To complement the new colors, Xiaomi has added more than 100 different watch faces that can be easily changed in the settings app.
The Mi Band 7 can be used in all kinds of exercises, including swimming because Xiaomi ensures that its resistant case can withstand depths of up to 50 meters. (I would not use it for diving…). In terms of exercise and fitness tracking software, the bracelet now supports up to 120 different sports modes, a big jump over the previous 30 supported modes. For workouts, it offers detailed information on the heart rate zone and calorie consumption.
Xiaomi has also included functions such as the optimal recovery time, as well as the ideal VO2 Max value that quantifies the maximum amount of oxygen required according to age and your BMI (body mass index) for an intense training session. It also calculates post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) data to determine training intensity. For those with a competitive spirit, the brand offers the option to challenge friends for virtual medals and other rewards in the app. My Fitness.
