This is the new Nikon camera focused on content creators

The different brands of photographic cameras have been introducing in their product catalog a series of photographic camera models expressly oriented towards content creators on the Internet.

With this, they seek that content creators can make a leap in quality from their mobile phones to digital cameras with features that facilitate the creation of content, including the use of folding screens, external microphone inputs, and other features.

In this regard, Nikon presented this week its new commitment aimed at content creators. It is the new Nikon Z30, the new member that becomes part of the company’s Z series of mirrorless cameras, offering creators everything they need to carry out their audiovisual projects.

According to Nikon, it is the most compact and lightest interchangeable lens mirrorless camera in the Z series, highlighting that:

The form factor and weight are made for content creation, vlogging, and streaming. It’s balanced and comfortable to hold for long periods of time and small enough to pack.

Everything you need to create content, and also to use as a webcam

Going into details, this camera is equipped with a 20.9 MP CMOS sensor in APS-C/DX format accompanied by Expeed 6 as an image processor, which allows you to have an ISO 100 up to 25600 for video and 51200 for photos, daring to capture in low light conditions.

In addition, it is capable of capturing images in RAW or JPEG of 12 or 14 bits, and 4K videos at 30fps or FullHD at up to 120fps, supporting up to 125 minutes of uninterrupted recording, being able to save all the content generated on high-capacity SD UHS-I cards.

It’s also capable of burst shooting at up to 11 fps to capture people and pets.

It also includes a 3″ flip-up LCD touch screen with which creators can see themselves in the recordings, and it even has a stereo microphone, external microphone input, and USB-C socket for power, ideal for use in situations such as webcam mode via Webcam Utility.

As negative aspects, point to the lack of an electronic viewfinder or image stabilization in the body itself, which the creators have to solve through lenses with built-in stabilization.

This model will go on sale in mid-July, where the camera body alone will cost just over 700 euros, and can be combined with the company’s different Z-mount lens models.

An accessory kit will also go on sale for around $150 that includes a grip, Bluetooth remote, and external microphone.
