A year ago I introduced you to several SwitchBot brand devices, from one that allows us to draw the curtains automatically, both by programming and manually from the mobile, to others such as a thermometer or a motion sensor.
During the last months they have been expanding the range of products, and I have already been able to try them to tell my experience.
From July 7 to 13 they can be obtained with a 35% discount using the coupon 35PRIMEZB (5% with the coupon discount plus 30% with the coupon discount on the page)
Here are the highlights.
Programmable LED lights
Available for less than 20 euros at this link, they are LED light strips that can be controlled with Alexa, Google Home, Siri direct access, SmartThings, IFTTT and CLOVA.
That means that we can activate the game mode with the voice, for example, or program an IFTTT routine so that they light up red when it rains, or when a specific hashtag appears on Twitter. whatever we want.
By integrating with wizards, it responds to commands such as:
- “Alexa, set the brightness of the living room light strip to 50%.”
- “Alexa, set the living room light strip to blue.”
and many other possibilities.
It has music mode, and we can put it on the back of any TV and thus improve the viewing environment.
It has various scene and customization settings, being ideal for more hidden areas of the room, for example, and a wide variety of scenes can be chosen using the mobile app. There are custom colors of all kinds.
It is also possible to control it with the remote control, being very useful to activate the lights under the bed to get up at night, for example, or at the edge of your stairs to illuminate and avoid accidents.
It is compatible with other brand accessories, so it can be activated when there is motion detection, or in combination with a light bulb… all thanks to the Hub.
SwitchBot Curtain
Available at this link for 85 euros, it is a device that hooks onto the curtain rod. There are three different models, depending on the type of bar (cylindrical, U-shaped or beam-shaped).
I already explained it in detail in this video:
It is installed in a few seconds, you just have to attach the SwitchBot Curtain by hiding it in the folds of the curtain, so that when you move with your mobile, it will drag the curtain from one side to the other. In my case I have two, one moves to the right and the other to the left, since my curtain is double.
There is a solar panel that can be easily attached at the back so that the sun coming through the window will feed the battery so that it never needs to be charged. In case of not having the solar panels, it can last 8 months depending on the use.
One thing that struck me is that even with SwitchBot Curtain, we can still pull the curtains by hand, as when the device detects a little tug, it will kick in and do the rest of the work.
With the SwitchBot app we can include all the devices we have. Once the SwitchBot Curtain is included, we will have to calibrate it, so that the device knows where the curtain ends and begins, and thus prevent it from going beyond the limits. It is in the app where we can create the routines and configure the rest of the devices, including the hub, so that the data serves as triggers to activate the actions.
SwitchBot Pan/Tilt Camera
Available for less than 30 euros at this link, we are talking about a security camera capable of looking at 360 degrees
The camera respects people’s privacy thanks to a function that allows you to save and hide your camera lens. Which means when we get home, the Pan/Tilt camera can hide automatically.
It has a 1080P image resolution with a high resolution 2 million pixel f2.0 aperture lens, offering very clear images even in low light (it has night vision with 8 infrared lights).
But what is most striking is its range of vision: Horizontal: 360°, Vertical: 115°, much more than others in its category. It does this thanks to two high-quality built-in motors, which help to check any designated area in the room.
It also has two-way audio, so we can communicate with whoever is at home at any time.
Having automatic tracking, it can track and record suspicious movements, always detecting changes in the environment. The videos can be viewed from the app.
It is also compatible with Alexa and Google, so we can ask them to “show the camera” on the devices that we have enabled.
SwitchBot Color Bulb
Available for less than 17 euros at this link, we have one of the cheapest smart bulbs on the market.
It is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts, SmartThings, IFTTT and CLOVA, so it can be controlled by voice to create different environments depending on what we are doing.
It uses Wi-Fi and BLE, so it works the same when Wi-Fi is unstable.
Thousands of color combinations are available, and brightness, color temperature and bulb color can be adjusted, all in seconds and without flickering, avoiding shadows and alleviating the discomfort and fatigue that comes with other bulbs. marks.
An unlimited number of groups of bulbs can be configured and we can assign up to 50 color bulbs to any group, so that all the bulbs in the kitchen change color at the same time, for example.
It also has a music mode, perfect for setting the mood on dates or house parties as you can easily follow along with the music tracks.
A thermometer and a button
Other very striking devices are the button and the thermometer, which measures temperature and humidity.
The button costs 25 euros in this link, and is used to press any switch anywhere, since when activated a lever comes out that presses what is next to it.
The idea of this device is to transform any dumb appliance into a smart one instantly as it works with almost any switch and button on any appliance or wall.
SwitchBot Bot is compatible with Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri, and can be controlled remotely, from the app.
It has a battery life of 600 days with a wireless Bluetooth low energy connection, a timer to turn on or off whenever we want, and the ability to connect to IFTTT or use the “Scene” function in the SwitchBot app (SwitchBot Hub Mini required, which is the one that manages everything, as I mentioned in the video).
On the other hand, we have the smart thermometer, 20 euros on Amazon, with a larger screen that allows better control of temperature and humidity.
It is a 3-inch display in a 55mm x 55mm x 24mm gauge, equipped with a Swiss Sensirion3 chip that can detect temperature differences of up to 0.1°C at a humidity difference of 1% RH.
It can be placed on the table as it is, or diagonally on flat surfaces with a two-way folding stand. It also has the option to be put on walls, refrigerators and more, including bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, engine rooms, pet sitting areas, etc.
Be careful, it should be kept away from water and wet surfaces.
It is also compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts, Line… so that we only have to ask our assistant what the temperature of the SwitchBot is and thus obtain the answer.
