“Lost Ollie”, one of the most anticipated series of the year, is now available on Netflix
The bond between a child and his favorite toy can be greater than we imagine, and this is demonstrated by the story of Ollie is lost (Lost Ollie). Based on the children’s book by the writer and illustrator William Joycethe miniseries premiered on August 24 on Netflix with the promise of moving the viewers to tears. Without a doubt, we will all remember part of our childhood and the terrible feeling of having lost our first favorite toy.
According to the official synopsis, “it tells the epic adventure of a lost toy that must face many dangers while trying to reunite with its owner, and the story of a boy who lost much more than a friend. This moving story seeks to connect us with our childhood, as well as to remind us of those special souls that we lost and that changed our lives forever.
On this long and dangerous journey, the viewer will accompany a cuddly stuffed rabbit that seeks to reunite with its owner.. Along this journey, he will make some friends and meet other human beings, but he will have to navigate between the evil and goodness of the world to get his family back.
the cast of Lost Ollie is made up of Jonathan Groff in Ollie’s voice, Mary J Blige (rosie), Tim Blake Nelson (zozo), Gina Rodriguez (Breast), Jake Johnson (Dad) and Kesler Talbot as Billy Boy.
Shannon Tindle (Kubo and the search for the samurai) developed the adaptation of Ollie’s Odyssey for the small screen, and was in charge of writing the script for the season. Peter Ramseyone of the directors of Spider-Man: a new universe, sat behind the cameras to make this production that unites real actors and computer animation a reality. In turn, the latter appears in the executive production together with shawn levy (stranger things Y the adam project) and Josh Barry for 21 Laps Entertainment; Emily Morris; Brandon Oldenberg; and Lampton Enochs.
Why Lost Ollie could it become a hit?
Lost Ollie carry a big emotion element in his favor from the moment the story begins with a sad moment for the protagonists: Billy loses Ollie and feels devastated for not having his best friend by his side. On the other hand, the stuffed rabbit sees a way to return home, however, the world outside the home feels so strange and dangerous that it will not be such an easy task.
Also, the limited series appeal to nostalgia by evoking a situation that almost all children have experienced and, through imagination, proposes a way back for the beloved toy. Heartbroken by the loss, the little boy will find comfort in his parents, but no one in the family could forget Ollie because of how important his role has been until now. All episodes can currently be seen in the catalog of Netflix.
