Android 13 Beta 2.1 is in distribution: Google released it last night. As you can imagine quite easily from the version number, the novelties are not huge: the changelog amounts to a handful of bug fixwhich however we report below for completeness:
- Fixed an issue where hints did not appear when typing something in the search bar.
- Fixed a crash and restart of the device when activating the hotspot.
- Fixed an issue where the ringtone continued to be heard in the background during the entire phone call.
- Fixed an issue with the device crashing and restarting after disconnecting from Android Auto.
In addition to that, Google reports further stability improvements generic. The developers say that anyone who owns a Developer Preview or a Beta build, any version, should receive this new OTA update, but it’s important to point out that we’re only talking about Pixel smartphones, not devices from other manufacturers that have been participating in the program for a few weeks.
In essence, therefore, the update should arrive at:
- Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro
- Google Pixel 5, 5a
- Google Pixel 4a 4G, 4a 5G
- Google Pixel 4, 4 XL
We remind you that, according to the official roadmap, Beta 3 should arrive next month, and should project the operating system in the “platform stability” phase in which new features will no longer be introduced but we will focus exclusively on solving bugs and optimization in general.
