Some of the virtual reality experiences that will come with Sony’s PS VR2

Knowing its specifications and design, Sony is now offering a quick preview of some of the experiences that will come with its next generation virtual reality glasses, the new PS VR2.

Experiences such as the possibility of attaching a PS5 HD camera to the console stand out to stream yourself while playing any of your favorite titles, cinematic mode to display non-VR games and media on a virtual theater screenand more.

But they are not the only experiences presented today, since there are other interesting ones, such as the transparent view, which allows the user to alternate between the content and its environment to be able to see it at a given moment without having to remove the glasses.

Sony says:

Thanks to PS VR2’s built-in front-facing cameras, users can press the function button on the headset or use the card in Control Center to switch between viewing their surroundings or viewing content in PS VR2. The card in Control Center also provides quick access to other PS VR2 settings, such as adjusting your play area.

This mode does not have recording functionality, only viewing.

Users will also have the ability to customize your play area thanks to PS VR2 Sense controllers and built-in cameraswhere the cameras will scan the room, and the controllers will allow you to further expand and customize the play area according to the needs of the game.

Sony adds that:

While playing, if you get close to the limit you have set, you will get a warning that you are getting close to the edge of the playing area. You can change your settings at any time while PS VR2 is connected. Once you set up your play area, the settings will be saved unless you move to a different play area.

About VR Mode and Cinematic Mode, the first It will allow you to enjoy VR games in a 360° view in a virtual environment, displaying in an HDR video format of 4000 x 2040 (2000 x 2040 per eye) with a fps of 90 Hz to 120 Hz.

And with cinematic mode, as we already discussed, non-VR media and games are shown on a virtual cinema screen. The content will be displayed in a 1920 × 1080 HDR video format with 24 or 60 Hz and also with a 120 Hz fps.

In addition to presenting these experiences, Sony is taking aim at developers by noting that they will soon get the latest user experience for PS VR2 via system software release as part of ongoing development.

And the Japanese company is still eager to present and share more things about the new PS VR2, although they will keep us in suspense until their next releases, although these releases are steps that the launch is getting closer to being a reality , where we can assume that they will take advantage of the commercial pull of Christmas shopping, although we will wait for them to set the date for the launch.
