The Honor 70 range – we learned it yesterday – will be official Monday 30 May. Some might think that the company’s communication with a lot of image to anticipate the event has not served to appease the rumors, and instead today’s information is not the result of anticipations provided by who knows which informant with proven reliability. In fact, Honor took care of bringing the theme back to topicality by publishing the pre-orders page for the “standard” Honor 70 on the Chinese portal.
HONOR 70, MAJOR AESTHETIC CHANGES ON THE BACK
So we can appreciate in preview thanks to official images the appearance of the entry model to the new top range, which should be completed by the Pro and Pro + variants (or by the SE, the doubt will probably accompany us until the presentation). On the front surface design of Honor 70 there is little to say, there does not seem to be any difference compared to the product on the market currently: the display continues to occupy almost the entire available area, it seems to have maintained a fairly accentuated curvature on the long sides and is still there, in its place, the hole for the selfie camera.
The same cannot be said of opposite surface, which while maintaining the philosophy of the current smartphone differs in some details. The most obvious is the camera group, lacking the third element (purely decorative) to “join” the two large circular elements that on Honor 70 contain as many components: the one at the top two cameras, the one at the bottom the third camera and the LED flash. On Honor 60 each “eye” contains a camera, the third is between the two. Now overall the rear surface as a whole is cleaner and more harmonious.
The details remain colors. On the current they are for the glitter, which will remain on the successor in gradient blue color while the green and black ones seem to focus on opaque surfaces. The most whimsical color of the lot is the pearl with its diamond pattern, which Honor used to communicate the presentation on May 30th.
For the rest, the Honor 70 pre-orders page does not offer any ideas on the technical characteristics. The only one comes from an image that the company has included in the photo gallery in which the presence of is anticipated at least one Sony IMX800 sensor, indeed thehuge Sony IMX800 sensor: it is one inch and could debut with Honor 70, since Xiaomi 12 Ultra should arrive later.
REALME PAD X, LAUNCH EVENT ON MAY 26
To anticipate the Honor 70 will be Realme Tablet X, or more likely Realme Pad X: will be presented on May 26, the company announced it through the page set up on the Chinese portal. In which, however, there is no specification and the price of 99,999 yuan (14 thousand euros at the exchange rate) is obviously fictitious. There is only the image with date and time of launch in China in which Realme merely adds that there will be a “large” display.
The product so far had remained invisible to rumors, at least like Realme Pad X. Just yesterday the vice president Xu Qi announced the imminent arrival of the Tablet “cheaper with Snapdragon 870 chip” featuring a 120Hz QHD + LCD display and an 8,360mAh battery, which should be Pad X at this point.
The informant spoke about the project Digital Chat Station in the past few hours, anticipating what should be the three colors provided for the Chinese market, two – black and blue – rather sober and eligible for a possible launch in Europe (which in any case would take place at a later time), the third – a sort of fluorescent yellow / green – a little more oriental but certainly bold, like Honor 70 in pearl color.
