Honor, as scheduled, today launched its new high-end smartphones of the 70 line in the Chinese market: a basic model, a pro variant and a pro plus variant. Scrolling through the technical characteristics, it can be seen that i the main differentiating elements are to be found in the soc, in the camera compartment and in the battery charging speed. You can also notice some slight aesthetic differences between the two pros and the non-pro model, but we still start from a starting point characterized by a ‘large display (6.67 “for the base model and 6.78” for the pros) and from three rear cameras.

Chapter SoC vendors: Honor 70 base is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G Plus, Honor 70 pro with Mediatek’s Dimensity 8000 and the Pro + variant always with a Mediatek, but of an even higher end, the Dimensity 9000.
As regards the sector instead camera, all three models integrate a 50MP main camera with IMX800 sensor and a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera, which can also be used for macros. In the pros, however, the third 2MP module (dedicated to depth of field detection) of the base model is replaced by an 8MP sensor combined with a 3x optical zoom with OIS. The front camera is 32MP for the base model and 50MP for the two Pros.
The two Pros also boast the fastest battery charging speed:

- honor 70 pro: 4,500 battery with 100W charging (from 0 to 60% in 15 minutes, from 0 to 100% in 30 minutes)

Another evident fact looking at the card concerns the display which is only slightly wider in the case of the pros. In fact, from the official images it can be seen how the screen frame is even smaller than the basic variant. Another small aesthetic difference concerns the element that encloses the rear cameras more sophisticated in the case of the Pro, simpler (a double circular element) in the basic model. In all cases the screen has curved edges, is of the FHD + OLED type, supports 120Hz and integrates the fingerprint sensor.
Smartphones are marketed in memory cuts with 8 or 12GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. The pre-installed OS is Android 12 customized with the Magic UI 6.1 user interface.

PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
The prices of the new Honor 70 series start at 2,699 yuan (basic model with 8 + 256B) equivalent to about 370 at direct exchange, excluding taxes). For Honor 70 Pro, on the other hand, at least 3,699 yuan (basic model with 8 + 256GB) are required, which correspond to about 520 euros (always at direct exchange, excluding taxes). To buy the 70 Pro + you need no less than 4,299 yuan (about 600 euros, excluding taxes) – variant 8 + 256GB.
Pre-orders have started today in China, the first availability is set for 10 June. Confirmations are awaited on the arrival in international markets.
