Samsung is working on a new 200MP sensor, the ISOCELL HP3

Although we have yet to see the 200MP camera sensor announced last year as ISOCELL HP1 in any phone, Samsung could be working on its successor, ISOCELL HP3. We have heard that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 200 MP main camera, so it could very well be this sensor. There are no technical details on the ISOCELL HP3 yet, apart from its whopping 200MP resolution, but in principle the HP1 to HP3 generational upgrade will be marginal in terms of hardware and the rest will be algorithm improvements. A 200 MP sensor seems like a bit of a stretch, but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 supports it as the maximum capture resolution with a single camera, so it wouldn’t be unusual to see it in a future flagship.
