One of the most anticipated phones of the year is the next folding smartphone from the Asian firm. Little by little we have been knowing more details of the Xiaomi MixFold 2, as it will be a model focused on the most premium market. And now we have been able to see what its design will be.
The foldable phone market is booming And, while it is true that Samsung dominates the sales of these smartphones (nine out of ten phones with a folding screen sold are from the Korean manufacturer), Xiaomi does not want to lose its piece of the cake.
And now that we have been able to see some models that show what the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will look like, it is clear that it will be a model to compete with the flagship of the Korean firm, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3.
Book shape and similarities with the Xiaomi Mi 10
As you can see in the published models, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will feature a book design, with the characteristic hinges that allow to unfold the screen completely.

As IT News has published, we can see a series of models that show what design the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will have. Thanks to this, we have been able to confirm that it will have a main screen traced to that of the Xiaomi Mi 10, formed by a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, in addition to a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is not known if Xiaomi’s foldable will mount a similar panel, but it would make perfect sense. To say that the screen unfolded completely would have a diagonal of 8 inches.
It should be noted that we are facing a leak, so we cannot confirm that this is going to be the official design of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2but considering its appearance it has too many numbers to be a real model of the device.
At the moment, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is expected to be presented throughout this year, although there is no certain date. At a technical level, it will have the best hardware on the market, so we can expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with between 8 and 12 GB of RAM.
Now, the only thing we can do is wait for the manufacturer to confirm the presentation date of the next Xiaomi folding phone to see what it surprises us with. But if they want to beat Samsung, which will present the next generation of Z Fold smartphones in August, His Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is going to have to show a lot of muscle to compete in a market dominated by the Korean giant.
