Surprise in the processor of future Samsung foldables, and you will like it...

There is less and less for the new folding Samsung they are official, and as usual, they are knowing different details of the options that will be included in these terminals. And, now, it has been the turn of the processor that will be inside. And, the truth is that everything that has been known is quite positive.

We are talking about both the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip, which everything suggests that will include the same SoC that, if the information that has been known is confirmed, will become two of the most powerful smartphones ever released to the market. And, this, are big words considering the great competition that currently exists in the high-end product.

This will be the processor of the new Samsung folding

It seems that the chosen component will be from Qualcomm (but it will be assembled in TSMC factories). Specifically, we talk about Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. This is the most advanced processor that the North American company has designed to date, and it promises spectacular performance (almost doubles that offered by current high-end SoCs) and, in addition, it will offer superior thermal solutions so that the heat does not be exactly a problem.

It is important to mention that, according to the latest information, this component -which was expected for the same month of May 2022-, has been delayed a bit… It is believed that its landing on the market will take place once the summer is over. In other words, it fits perfectly with the dates that are handled in the Korean company regarding the sale of these terminals (which should be for fall of this year). Everything is fitting, and that is positive.

Will there be two variants?

This is a question that has not been resolved yet and, from the looks of it, this generation of Samsung foldables could only arrive with a single processor model inside. And, in this way, not to put devices with their own SoCs from the Exynos range in some regions. The truth is that it would make sense, to give uniformity to the platform, and it would mean a change in the way Koreans work. If not now, this will happen sooner or later.

With improvements in what has to do with the hinges included -which will be more resistant at the same time simple to use-, and with important advances in the photography section (where they could include a rear camera equal to that of the Galaxy S22), it is clear that Samsung does not want to lose its leadership in the foldable smartphone segment. And, if this is confirmed, he will surely succeed.
