Google Tasks adds more options to manage pending tasks

Google Tasks is being updated with an improvement that will make it easier to manage tasks.

So that you don’t have to complicate yourself by resorting to Calendar to complete the management of recurring tasks, Tasks adds a new option.

Google Tasks makes it easy to schedule recurring tasks

Google Tasks is one of the simplest apps that you will find among the most popular proposals to manage tasks. Even so, it has all the options we need to manage our tasks and follow up on pending activities.

For example, you will find the option that allows you to schedule a task as recurring, specifying every how many days (or weeks, months, years) you want it to repeat. However, while you can set when this loop starts, the app doesn’t end up setting an end date.

So you will have to delete the task manually so that it does not keep repeating itself or resort to Google Calendar to specify that data. That would require you to go to your Calendar account, find the task, and set the due date.

A process that will no longer be necessary, since Google Tasks is updated with the possibility of scheduling recurring tasks from start to finish. So when you open the app to add a task, you’ll see that under “Recurring every” there are options to set the recurrence period, start and end dates.

To set when the recurring task should end you can specify a date or end after X amount of repetitions. And of course, you can also set it to “never” so you can manually remove the option whenever you see fit.

While it’s a small change, it will make things easier for users who rely on the app to organize their tasks. This new option has now been released, but it may take some time to roll out to all accounts.
