The oldest of the place will remember QuickPic as a complete gallery app that was also very light. Birds Gallery cannot be considered light, but it does have a lot of customization options and some other advanced option that you will not find in most gallery apps.
A very complete gallery app
Finding a good gallery app is not easy as some of them are too simple, others have ads or just you cannot configure them according to your needs. The same may not happen to you with Aves GalerÃa, a photo gallery app for Android with a good number of options and functions.
The app is relatively easy to use, with an interface that is separated into four main categories: photos, videos, favorites and albums. In this way, you can keep your favorite photos and videos always at hand after pressing the heart icon on a photo, regardless of whether they are recent or not and what album they are in.
The app is not Google Photos, although it allows you search with various advanced filters to help you find the photo or video you’re looking for. With these filters you can distinguish between types of content (photos, panoramas, Raw files, etc.) the place where it was taken (if it is geotagged) or other criteria such as classification or tags that you have added manually.
One of the main advantages of Aves GalerÃa is that it is very customizable, being able, for example, to configure which buttons you want to appear superimposed on the photo viewer for quick access, being able to choose from a very extensive list. You can also choose that the brightness of the mobile is set to maximum when viewing photos, to be able to appreciate them in all their splendor, among many other settings.

Birds Gallery can open all kinds of images and videos, including formats that are somewhat less common in this type of app, such as multi-page TIFF, SVG, AVI videos or panoramic videos. Birds Gallery is not a light gallery app in the classic style of expression (it takes up about 36 MB) but it is very complete and, furthermore, free and open source. If you are looking for a gallery app, it is an option to take into account.
