To this we would then add the hypothesis of Xiaomi 17 Aira new ultra-thin model that would ride the trend of the year, alongside Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge And iPhone Airwhich have already been on the market for some time: let’s discover all the details together.
Xiaomi Pad 9: possible technical specifications
Not much has passed since the launch of the previous Xiaomi Pad 8, but leaks and rumors about the Xiaomi Pad 9 are already starting to appear. A recent report from XiaomiTime would have suggested the start of work on the new series, which would probably include the standard model, Xiaomi Pad 9And Xiaomi Pad 9 Prowhose code names would respectively appear “Erhu” And “Guitar“: this is not a completely new choice for Xiaomi, which would thus continue to use the names of musical instruments to name its next devices.
We don’t yet know the specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 9: for a quick comparison, the previous model offers a display of 11.2 inches diagonal with resolution 3.2K and an update frequency from 144 Hzas well as support for the standard DolbyVision and the cTÜV Rheinland certification for the protection of visual health.
Finally, the chip is mounted inside Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4powered by a 9200mAh of capacity with fast charging support from 45W of power. According to the leak, the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 9 series is expected globally, except for the Pro model which may not release in India.

Xiaomi 17 Air: is the launch in the air?
It seems that Xiaomi also wants to get on the bandwagon ultra-thin smartphonesa segment inaugurated this year by Samsung with its Galaxy S25 Edge (which wasn’t exactly a success in terms of sales): according to the latest rumors coming from the informant Smart Pikachuin fact, the company may launch soon Xiaomi 17 Airwhich would therefore keep company with the standard model ea Xiaomi 17 Pro (and older brother Xiaomi 17 Pro Max), both recently released on the Chinese market.

According to his report, the new ultra-thin model should feature a display of 6.6 inches diagonal with resolution 1.5K and main camera sensor from 200 megapixelswhich not even Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is currently equipped with. Among the salient features we also find a possible eSIM supportsimilar to what we saw a few weeks ago with the iPhone Air.
Everything will probably be powered by a battery of about 5000mAh of capacity, a compromise due to the small thickness of the model, which will approximately be around 6 millimeters or a little less: to make a quick comparison, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max features a 7500 mAh capacity battery, enclosed within its 8 mm thickness.
As always, we invite you to take this information with a grain of salt, as it is a rumor and indiscretion that will necessarily need to be officially confirmed by the manufacturing company. We are therefore awaiting further updates in this regard directly from Xiaomiwhich we are sure will soon arrive over the next few weeks.
