Xiaomi like Apple: Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is added to the party?
In recent years, only the “normal” models of the Punta di Xiaomi series have arrived in Italy, flanked (subsequently or not) by the ultra variants, such as Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It is still early to find out if this year also something similar will happen with the Xiaomi 16 series, but in these hours new details have emerged on the possible composition of the range: it would seem that this time the Chinese house can offer four Android smartphones.
According to X @That_kartikeythe series should be made up of four models: Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, Xiaomi 16 Pro Max and Xiaomi 16 Ultra. While three of these were almost “discounted”, at least in China, the presence of Xiaomi 16 Pro Maxwith a name that recalls Apple’s iPhone. It could be the second “inspiration” to the Cupertino house for Xiaomi, who as we have seen could adopt a new numbering for Hyperos, following the year (like iOS 26).
On the basis of what is anticipated, this Xiaomi 16 Pro Max could be a variant of Xiaomi 16 Pro with wider screen: Xiaomi 16 should be the most compact with your 6.36 inchesthen there would be Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max with diagonals from at least 6.5 and 6.8 inchesand finally Xiaomi 16 Ultra, which could maintain the latter (at least 6.8 inches, slightly increased compared to the predecessor). It remains to be seen if the Chinese house will propose something else to distinguish it from the “minor” brother.
Even if the range could be made up of four models, it is not said that these will eventually be presented and launched simultaneously. The launch of Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro is scheduled for the month of September in China, in advance of the usual with the aim of being the first to offer the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2: this alleged Xiaomi 16 Pro Max will come with them or subsequently, perhaps in the company of Xiaomi 16 Ultra? To find out, we just have to wait for further details. Given the previous ones, we do not expect to see them all globally.
