Let’s go back to dealing with Google Photothe default multimedia gallery of the Mountain View giant smartphones and increasingly widespread on Android smartphones that do not integrate an owner app, and today we are talking about a useful tool implemented by Google to provide rapid modification options while sharing a photo from the app.
Google Photo: In Rollout a new and useful tool
With the latest version of the Google photo app, which in the last few hours has reached the version 7.25Google is gradually distributing a new tool called Quick modification before sharing Which does exactly what he promises: allows you to edit a photo before sharing it. In essence, instead of immediately showing the Android sharing sheet that offers users for various options for sharing the chosen photo, the application will show a new screen called “quick modification”.
Within this screen the original photo that we want to share will be shown: via a tap on the button “Advanced” placed above, the app will automatically apply some corrections to the photo; However, the choices made by the algorithms will not always prove to be useful to really improve the quality of the photo.
However, it should be noted that this tool currently works only when we try to share a single photo: in the case of multiple selection, the quick modification screen will not be displayed (but let’s imagine that functionality can receive improvements in the future).
This tool can be activated/deactivated by the internal settings to the app: to do this, just make a tap on the Avatar of the Google account (placed at the top right), follow the route “Settings> sharing” and activate/deactivate the dedicated option. When the option is deactivated, the quick change will be skipped and the sharing experience will return to the previous one.
