Samsung Galaxy S24 and Z Fold5: more than simple security patches
Last April Samsung suspended the Roll Out of the One UI 7.0 for some models without providing too many explanations; The interruption had been short -lived: a few days later the distribution of the update was resumed, without however completely stopping the protests of users who complained of a drastic worsening of autonomy. Well, several months later, Samsung may have finally treasured its users’ feedback, intervening on the problem in question with the unsuspected security update of June 2025.
According to the reports of some users, in fact, the battery life of models such as Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 would have improved significantly after the installation of the safety update last month: some owner of the folding even reports improvements in the order of the 400%while the autonomy of Galaxy S24+ would have improved but in a less sensational way.

It is good to specify that Samsung’s official Changelog, not particularly rich in details, does not contain any reference to the aforementioned autonomy improvements. In addition, the reports are still quite limited, therefore it is not known whether the update has brought the same benefits for all owners of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
Do you also own one of these models? Have you noticed a better autonomy after installing the latest update? Tell it in the comments.
