Complaints about the battery after the Samsung update to One UI 7

Let’s start with battery question. Within the Samsung community and on Reddit, there are different complaint concerning one decrease autonomy Of some of the smartphones updated to the One UI 7 and to Android 15. Most seem to concern the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold6 series, i.e. the models that first accepted the update (arrived in two tranches, considering the rollout interrupted for a few days due to a problem).

According to what reported, the new version does not seem to have brought only improvements, including animations, fluidity, now bar and so on, but also some autonomy problems. If you find a decrease in battery life, you can try to put things in place deleting the cache. How to do it? Just follow this short procedure:

  1. turn off the smartphone
  2. Connect it to a PC through the USB-C cable
  3. Press and hold down the ignition and volume keys on
  4. As soon as the Samsung logo appears, release the power button
  5. When the blue screen appears, you can also release the other key
  6. Move to the menu using the volume keys until you reach “Wipe Cache Partition”
  7. confirmed with the power button
  8. Select “Yes” and confirmed using the power button
  9. Select “Reboot System Now” and confirmed with the power button

Like any major update, it is possible that the system needs a few days to “settle”: consequently, before banding your head, wait at least a week to ensure that the smartphone optimizes everything in the background. If it has already passed a little and not even the cache wipe has worked, you can try a reset to the factory data. Leave it just as the last beach, given that the operation goes to delete all the data of the device (including apps, files, photos, videos etc. etc.).

In any case, Samsung will further optimize the system with subsequent updates, pending the arrival of Android 16 and the consequent one UI 8.

Smart View Mirroring functions have not disappeared with One UI 7

Some Samsung users who have updated to One UI 7 are also complaining about theapparent disappearance of a function useful for TV owners of the same south-core brand. The function Smart viewalso accessible from the Quick Settings, allows the latter to take advantage of two mirroring functions: one to view the smartphone screen on the TV, and one for View the TV screen on your smartphone (or on the tablet).

With the update to One UI 7 it seemed that the latter possibility had been inhibited, but in reality it is not like that: of course, now the function is no longer proposed within the Smart View shortcut, but it is still accessible in Samsung’s SmartThings app.

To use the mirroring function in question you need to Open the..select the TV and access the tab dedicated to Smart View: here you can have both functions, to view the screen (or audio) of the TV on the smartphone (or tablet) or vice versa. We do not know if the manufacturer will reintroduce the shortcut through the Quick Settings panel with future updates.
