Yesterday we told you about the opening of the program Open Beta of OxygenOS 16, currently available only for Indian users and compatible only with the flagship smartphones that OnePlus has launched on the market in the last two years.
Today the Chinese manufacturer has taken a new step forward in the march towards the presentation of the next version of OxygenOS, scheduled for October 16th, by publishing some teasers on what it will be able to offer in terms of fluidity. At the same time, a possible list of devices that will be supported emerges.

OxygenOS 16: fluidity is the watchword
“So fast. So smooth.” This will be one of the mottos they will accompany OxygenOS 16the next version of its customized interface that OnePlus is creating based on Android 16.
The other motto is indeed “Smart in your own way” and refers to the implementation of Gemini’s capabilities which will improve the artificial intelligence capabilities of the Chinese manufacturer’s devices, with the Google-branded assistant which will be able to interact with OnePlus apps and services and enhance features such as Mind Space.
Returning to the present, OnePlus’ Indian account shared a sort of pre-launch “spot” for the next OxygenOS on X yesterday, suggesting that users will be able to “move around the screen as if their favorite song were playing”.

The sentence contained in the aforementioned post is reflected in the section dedicated to OxygenOS 16 on the official OnePlus website. The web page, also available in the Italian version of the site, anticipates the potential of the new version of the interface, talking about Unstoppable fluidity.
Get ready for absolute fluidity. Three hours of reels, lightning-fast switching between apps and high-intensity gaming? OxygenOS remains smooth, relentless and refined. Your life goes fast, OxygenOS 16 is even faster. Push it to the max. It won’t break. Nor will it stop.
Fluidity of the user interface
In this sense, the interface will be enhanced with OnePlus Flow Motiontechnology that will make every scroll of the user interface, as well as opening and closing apps, fluid.
In general, it seems that OnePlus has worked to ensure that many types of animations can work in parallel (which become more refined), putting an end to lag and “static” user experiences.
Improvements on the multitasking front
Big improvements are also expected on the multitasking front. In this sense, the steps forward should be more evident on tablets: users will be able to easily switch between apps (maximum five at the same time) and resize apps with a simple swipe gesture.
Improvements in connectivity and interoperability
The development team also worked to improve (and make) the connectivity of their devices and theinteroperability of the same towards devices of the same or other ecosystems.
Users will be able to share files, screen mirror and control their smartphone or tablet across Mac and Windows computers, and can share files and photos with iPhones with the app O+ Connectthey will be able to synchronize Apple Watch with OnePlus smartphones and will be able to easily use OnePlus Pad and OnePlus smartphones in unison.

OnePlus then perfected an interaction similar to the one that Apple integrates on the iPhone and that we have when two iPhone users try to exchange files by bringing the two smartphones closer: OnePlus users will be able to do the same thing by bringing two smartphones closer together to transfer files and photos without cables and without waiting.
What devices will be supported
When starting the OpenBeta test program for OxygenOS 16OnePlus has indirectly confirmed official support for six devices in total but, thanks to a post created by a member of the official community, we know which other devices (including smartphones and tablets) from the Chinese manufacturer will receive the update.
