2025 was also the year of super-thin smartphones and now, after having witnessed the debut of the more famous Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple iPhone Air and the less famous Nubia Air, the moment of another contender is approaching: Motorola Edge 70 it will be the European version of the just announced Moto X70 Air and a few moments ago he showed himself in new images.
New renders of Motorola Edge 70
Years ago, before the start of the smartphone era, Motorola had linked its name to mobile phones with iconic thinness. Now that the race to reduce thickness – this time with devices with immensely superior capabilities -, the winged house could not help but get back into the game. Motorola Edge 70 has already been the subject of numerous rumors and we already know that the next one will officially arrive in Europe November 5 and which will be the twin of the Chinese model already presented under the name Motorola Moto X70 Air.
While waiting for the global launch event, two new press renders have emerged which show off particular colors and confirm a couple of technical specifications of the device: as you can see below, Motorola Edge 70 will be equipped with a 4,800 mAh silicon-carbon battery and will support fast charging a 68 watts; all with a thickness of suns 5.99mm, weighing just 159 grams and a 50 megapixel main camera.
As for the colors shown, Motorola will market them with the names Pantone Bronze Green And Pantone Lily Pad. The third coloring, called Gadget Grayit does not appear here.
There is the energy label
Since it is a smartphone also intended for the European market, Motorola Edge 70 will have to be accompanied by the obligatory energy labelthanks to which we also learn some other details of the device. Edge 70 got a nice one “A” as an overall ratingthe result of a maximum rating for resistance to falls, a “B” for repairability, the IP68 certification against water and dust and a battery that should guarantee 1,000 charging cycles before dropping below 80% of its initial capacity.
Just a few more days and we will officially know if Motorola Edge 70 and Moto X70 Air will be the same in every way or if the global model will present even minimal technical differences.
