Possible New Google Play Store home page (called “Home App”) appears with a design in which images and videos are full screenextending from one edge to the other of the screen, also including the status bar and the app bar.
In addition, instead of the classic rectangular carousel with the recommended apps, the new layout uses Multimedia content with full width To capture the user’s attention. An example shown concerns an ongoing musical event (“Happening Now”), promoted directly in the main screen, with theI invite you to live it through a specific applike YouTube Music. This means that the Play Store is no longer limited to listing apps to download, but becomes an interactive space to discover experiences and content connected to real -time apps.

Other slides instead show the Google Play logo in the upper right corner of the screenwith notifications and profile selector on the other side. An interesting element, as far as can be guessed from these first images, is the absence of the carousel with the options “for you”, “rankings”, “other devices”, “children” and “categories”.
Scrolling through the feed, however, the Sections “Other to explore” (“More to Explore”) e “App recently used”. This choice is very reminiscent of the functionality of the collections, which Google has recently announced will soon be integrated directly into the main page of the Play Store and will be available in several countries compared to before.
While maintaining the traditional apps of apps, the new version introduces great thematic carousels As “you like this” and “new related new apps”, where the apps are grouped by specific categories (such as, for example, “Album and opinions reviews” or “Streaming and Live Music”). In addition, the page presents very obvious heading such as “recover your top 5” and “trendy apps to try”.
In the detail pages of the individual apps, however, Google shows a main carousel on full pagethe so -called “Hero Content Carousel”, which can also include audio previews directly in the app cards, to also offer a more engaging and multimedia experience from this point of view.
