Google has recently announced some improvements for Google Walletthe default digital portfolio of smartphones Made by Googleas well as one of the most appreciated and widespread in the entire Android panorama.

Today we introduce updates that help you demonstrate your age and identity in a safe and protected way, directly from your phone.
- Support to pass IDs in the UK
- Residents in the United Kingdom can create digital identities from their British passports and archive them on Google Wallet (safe).
- In the first phase, Big G is collaborating with the Rail Delivery Group; Train travelers will be able to use the digital identity document for suitability checks for the Railcard.
- Evaluations are underway on another novelty that will allow residents in the United Kingdom to take advantage of their digital identity pass saved in Google Wallet for the purchase of alcohol and other assets prohibited to minors.
- Greater diffusion of digital ID in the United States
- Residents in Arkansas, Montana, Puerto Rico and West Virginia will be able to save their digital identity documents (issued by the US government) in Google Wallet.
- Residents in Arizona, Georgia, Maryland and New Mexico will also be able to use their digital identity cards at the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles).
- In view of the deadline for Real ID (May 7, 2025), US users can use an identification card (created by an US passport) to TSA security checks for national travel (in supported airports), even if they have an identity document issued by the State.
- Verification of the fastest age
- Google has developed an age verification system that, at the same time, protected the user’s privacy.
- To achieve the goal, the development team has integrated ZKP technology (Zero Knowledge Proof) in Google Wallet, thus ensuring that the age of verification process does not allow direct connections with the identity of the user.
