Google continues to take important steps forward to integrate generative artificial intelligence into the heart of its services, and this time it is up to one of the most iconic elements of the user experience of its smartphones: the Pixel Launcher. A small but significant novelty is starting to make its way that promises to make access to the search enhanced by the AI even more immediate.

We are talking about a new shortcut for the Google to fashions which is appearing directly in the Google search bar, the one positioned at the bottom of the main pixel screen. A change that testifies to Google’s will to make its new research experience, based on Gemini, a central point and easily accessible for all users.

A shortcut for the ia at hand

Let’s go in order. Google to fashions represents the next great evolution of Google research. Instead of a simple list of links, the system provides answers processed directly from the Gemini models, which draw information from the web to create a coherent and complete summary. This feature has been made available for all users in the United States last month, and now the Mountain View giant is starting to integrate it more deeply in the Pixel ecosystem.

As reported by Max Weinbach on X, Google silently started rollout of a New icon dedicated to Google to fashions within the Pixel Launcher search bar. This shortcut, which adapts chromatically to the dynamic theme of the device, is positioned next to those already existing for vocal research and for Google Lens, while most of the bar remains dedicated to traditional research.

It is important to underline that the Rollout seems to be in its very first phases and at the moment extremely limited. In addition to the initial report, very few other users have confirmed that they have received the novelty, a sign that it will take some time before a large -scale distribution.

Don’t panic, however: if you don’t yet have the shortcut, you can still access Google to fashions. Just start a traditional search and, once on the results page, carry out an additional tap to move on to visualization based on artificial intelligence.

It remains to be seen what the timing will be for a global rollout, but it is clear that Google is preparing the ground to bring its Google to the fashions to the center of the scene. We will continue to monitor the situation for future updates.
